Fanny Crosby

Fanny Crosby was a blind person. She was only six weeks old when she became blind.
She wrote the following poem when she was eight years old:

Blind but Happy

O what a happy soul am I!
Although I cannot see,
I am resolved that in this world
Contented I will be;
How many blessings I enjoy
That other people don't!
To weep and sigh because I'm blind
I cannot, and I won't.

She also wrote thousands of hymns. My mom found about ten of her songs in the Hymnal of the Church of God. Some of my favorites are Tell me the Story of Jesus, Praise Him, Praise Him, Blessed Assurance, and All the way my Savior Leads Me.
She got married and had one child a little girl that died when she was a baby. One day a man felt sorry for her that she was blind, but she said she was glad because when she gets to heaven Jesus would be the first face she ever saw. She lived till she was 95 years old.

This is our winter garden.
Yesterday me and mom put leaves on the garden.
We cover the garden with leaves so weeds won't grow in our garden, also to prevent soil erosion. That is when the soil on top washes away when it rains.
Also, the leaves feed the worms. They eat the leaves and turn it into more dirt.

The Harvest Festival

The birthday party was postponed but we still had the Harvest Festival which is really fun.
It rained the day of the Harvest Festival which made it event more fun.
Chelsea and Connor were in a skit Chelsea was an opera singer, and Connor was dressed as Darth Vator from Star Wars.
Me, Felecia, and Amber, helped my mom sing songs with the kids. We sang John Browns Baby, Down By The Bay, and My Aunt Came Back.
They also had a pie eating contest, and bobbing for apples.
We ate a picnic there, we had Fried Chicken and Potato Salad.
Felecia carved a pumpkin that day but we didn't bring it.
Me and my mom are going to make Christmas presents this year so today we will make a list of things to make.
